Circuit Design and Simulation

Our team of electronics experts capture and understand your circuit I/O and functional requirements.  We then select appropriate components, circuit types and topologies to create a circuit that provides the inputs, outputs and processing to perform the desired circuit functions.  In advanced cases we may perform trade studies and work closely with your team to ensure the components selected meet all of your targets including form, fit, function, weight, life span and other targets that may be required.  Once the circuit design phase is complete your circuit is ready for Schematic Capture.

Circuit Design and Simulation Process

Some example circuits include power supplies, analog signal conditioning, Analog to Digital Converters (ADC), Digital to Analog Converters (DAC), logic circuits using discrete logic, as well as CPLD and FPGA for larger logic requirements.  We are also well versed in the implementation of circuits utilizing the latest in microcontrollers, microprocessors, DSP and System on Chip (SOM)/System on Module (SOM) devices with memory systems utilizing DDR2, DDR3, DDR4 and DDR5, ROM, Flash, interfaces including RS-232 Serial, RS-422, RS-485, USB, Ethernet, SATA, eSATA, VGA, DVI, HDMI and others.

Circuit Board with CPU

For some systems, the circuit design parameters are simple and well understood so they are easier to design and implement.  More complex circuit designs may require simulation using SPICE or other circuit modeling tools to understand the functional operation of the circuit and may include parameters from the PCB layout such as transmission lines and other PCB features to help define the final circuit values to give the precise function in all operating conditions, including variable input and output conditions, temperature and component variations and tolerances.  We can employ circuit simulation and prototyping to ensure we are able to build a circuit that meets all of your functional requirements under all of the variable conditions your circuit will be exposed to during operations.  For some conditions, it may be necessary to build a prototype and perform some Design Verification Testing (DVT) to validate all of these use cases and conditions.
