Schematic Capture
Once you have a circuit properly designed, the next step in the process is schematic capture. During this process our team selects actual circuit components from available inventories ensuring that the components meet the circuit functional requirements, environmental, availability and cost targets.

The circuit is then placed into a formal diagram on the desired template with revision and approval information. This step is when schematic parts are developed for capture and linked to a physical footprint for the next step. The circuit components are connected using a schematic capture tools such as Altium or OrCAD Capture and any layout parameters/rules are placed on circuits such as max lengths, minimum line widths, impedance requirements or other relevant design rules. During this process the Bill of Materials is developed using actual components and a formal diagram of your circuit is captured for the next step, PCB Layout. Prior to the next step a peer review and customer review is performed to ensure the design is ready for physical implementation.
